About the Role
The role plays a critical role in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices within the organization. The person will be responsible for conducting operational, financial, and compliance audits, they ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key duties include financial planning and budget adherence, development of audit plans, evaluation of control effectiveness, and preparation of audit reports.
About You
Ideal candidate would have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Relevant certifications (e.g., CA, CIA or equivalent) are preferred (with equivalency by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education
Candidate with strong financial acumen, familiarity with internal audit practices, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with regulations and corporate governance frameworks.
Proficiency in developing audit plans, evaluating controls, and providing guidance to internal auditors.
Proactive approach to identifying risks and recommending solutions, coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, is essential.
Proficient in English and Arabic, preferably Kuwaiti National.
