About The Role

Deliver evidence-based psychological care for patients with weight, metabolic, and digestive health conditions through comprehensive clinical assessments and individualized behavioral interventions. Conduct pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations and provide therapeutic support for obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, IBS, IBD, and stress-related gastrointestinal disorders. Collaborate closely with endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, bariatric surgeons, and dietitians to integrate behavioral health into multidisciplinary treatment plans. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with JCI standards, hospital policies, and patient safety requirements, while contributing to quality improvement initiatives, clinical pathway implementation, and service excellence.

About You

Ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-Master's experience treating psychological patients in weight, metabolic, and digestive health.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Experience conducting clinical, cognitive, psychosocial, and pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations.
  • Experience providing evidence-based therapy for patients with obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, IBS, IBD, and stress-related gastrointestinal symptoms.
  • Strong skills in cognitive behavioral strategies, emotional strength, and diplomatic care delivery.
  • Experience working collaboratively with endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, bariatric surgeons, and dietitians within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to assume greater clinical responsibility calmly within a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, hospital database navigation, and clinical resource optimization.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, continuous learning, teamwork, and professional ethics.
