About the Client
An industry leader providing comprehensive ICT (Information Communications Technology) solutions, and Systems Integrator to help clients achieve business objectives. Their solutions are specialized in IT Security, Communication Networks, and IT Infrastructure Management.
About the Role
The position will be responsible for the comprehensive operations and maintenance of the communications network, including bandwidth management, development of alternate routing plans, and facility planning and engineering. The incumbent will ensure overall network reliability and functionality, leveraging in-depth system analysis to meet the required network reliability objectives.
About you
Ideal candidate would have the following:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering.
A minimum of Ten (10) years’ experience in installation, test, troubleshooting and maintenance of the IP network
CCIE certification or equivalent certification
Strong documentation skills for case management, knowledge capture, defect management, and trainings
Knowledge and/or experience in:
Proficiency in L2/3 transport protocols such as MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, etc.
Understanding of L2 – L7 protocols including Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, RTP, HTTP/S, FTP, etc.
Knowledge of various L2 switching technologies/protocols including STP/MSTP/RSTP, VXLAN, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, etc.
Experience in enterprise-level IT network development, design, upgrade, and maintenance
Experience with VRFs, ACLs, DMVPN, VoIP, QoS, SNMP, VPC, VSS, and Cisco Firewalls.
Experience with IP-multicast design and best practices.
Proficiency in developing network diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent applications.
