Senior ABA Therapist – Verbal Behavior & Functional Communication

About the Role

• Provide individualized, one-to-one ABA support to a teenager with autism and limited verbal communication.
• Develop functional communication, verbal behavior, social interaction, and independent living skills.
• Provide school shadowing, supporting academic learning, classroom participation, attention, and following instructions.
• Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to ensure consistent support.
• Implement tailored interventions using Functional Communication Training and naturalistic teaching strategies.
• Support emotional regulation through respectful, evidence-based approaches.
• Monitor measurable progress and generalize skills across school, home, and community settings.

About You

• Relevant degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Speech and Language Therapy, or a related field.
• Recognized, verifiable certification such as BCBA, QBA, QASP-S, RBT, or equivalent, with current status where applicable.
• Strong hands-on ABA experience supporting teenagers with autism and limited verbal communication.
• Previous school shadowing experience is required.
• Practical expertise in functional communication, verbal behavior, and social skills development.
• Experience developing adaptive skills and everyday independence.
• Familiarity with AAC, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or AFLS is highly desirable.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to demonstrate measurable intervention outcomes.
• Available for a full-time, long-term position in Kuwait. International applicants are welcome.
